Calculation Method of Current Choghadiya

For the calculation of Choghadiya muhurat, the duration of both day and night is divided into eight equal parts. Since there are a total of seven types of choghadiya muhurat, it means that out of the eight parts of the day, six choghadiyas occur only once, while one of them (usually Amrit or Char) is repeated twice. Types of Auspicious and Inauspicious Times in the Choghadiya List

1. Auspicious and Excellent Times: This category includes Amrit, Shubh, and Labh. Amrit is considered best for all tasks, especially for new beginnings and long journeys. 3. Inauspicious Times: This group includes Rog, Kaal, and Udveg Choghadiya. These three times are considered to cause obstacles, loss, and worry. One should avoid making important decisions or taking risky work during Kaal and Udveg, while special care should be taken of health during Rog Muhurat.
